This course provides students with the skills and strategies they need to make the transition to college and university preparation courses in English and other secondary school disciplines. Students will be encouraged to develop independence in a range of academic tasks. They will participate in debates and lead classroom workshops; read and interpret literary works and academic texts; write essays, narratives, and reports; and apply a range of learning strategies and research skills effectively. Students will further develop their ability to respond critically to print and media texts. All TGA programs are delivered via the Moodle Learning Management System, offering 24/7 access to lessons, assignments, and teacher support from any global location.

Students will investigate the properties of polynomial, rational, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions; develop techniques for combining functions; broaden their understanding of rates of change; and develop facility in applying these concepts and skills.

Enroll in Calculus and Vectors (MCV4U), a Grade 12 University Preparation course. This course builds on students' previous experience with functions and their developing understanding of rates of change. Students will solve problems involving vectors and representations of lines and planes in three-dimensional space; broaden their understanding of rates of change to include derivatives; and apply these concepts to real-world relationships.
